Release
Release is a documentary which production took place from June to July 2024 at Quitasueño Estudio in the Dominican Republic, where I had the opportunity to work as an assistant to the set decorator.
This movie document the lives of several release, baseball players that were signed, but let go before making it to the big leagues. The ups and downs in their lives after being impacted by the cultural phenomenon that is baseball in the Dominican Republic.
Most of the work of the art department relied on recreating events in the baseball players lives, we conditioned moving lockers for an oniric sequence, an interview space with a synthetic grass floor, shelves with baseball uniforms and bat carts, the living room of an older release and a house and a colmado (like a small grocery store in the Dominican Republic) in the countryside.
